With over 16 years of sailing experience in the global shipping industry, I bring a wealth of maritime expertise and operational insight. I began my career at sea after completing Pre-Sea Training and a Bachelor’s degree at the Bangladesh Marine Academy. I subsequently earned my Master Mariner competency certificate from the Department of Shipping, Bangladesh.

Throughout my career, I have completed a wide range of short courses and professional training programs that have enriched my technical knowledge and operational capability in both shipboard and shore-based roles.

After retiring from active sea service, I joined the Bangladesh Marine Academy as an Instructor, where I trained and mentored the next generation of maritime professionals. Currently, I am working as a Marine Surveyor at Seasob Inc. in Canada, contributing my technical knowledge to vessel inspections, compliance assurance, and cargo operations.

  • Conducting grain cargo and concentrate load calculations
  • Ensuring compliance with grain loading standards and transportable moisture limits (TML)
  • Managing stability and stress criteria, especially under adverse weather conditions
  • Controlling free surface effects to maintain vessel integrity throughout the voyage

Marine Surveying and Inspections

I conduct a broad range of marine surveys and inspection services, including:

  • On-hire/off-hire bunker surveys
  • Damage assessments
  • Draft and hold-cleanliness inspections
  • Hatch cover watertight integrity testing in accordance with classification society standards
  • Supervision of loading operations and hold preparations for cargoes under Canadian, U.S., and Australian regulations
